Half sock, half slipper - slocks are knitted flat and assembled while knitting. A bit magical!

Construction
Knit back and forth from cuff to toe. The only two ends you need to weave in are the one you start with and the one you finish with—otherwise, it’s completely seamless. See video here

Size guide
This is a blend between a sock and a slipper, and is therefore meant to fit a bit loosely, with a slightly smurfy look when worn. If you prefer a narrower fit, go down one size and knit the leg and foot to your desired length.

Sizes
Kid (Youth) Women (Men)

Measurements, lying flat
Width:
10 (11) 12 (13) cm | 4 (4.25) 4.75 (5) inches
Foot length: approx. 14 (18) 22 (26) cm | 5.5 (7) 8.75 (10.1) inches

Recommended needle size
4.5 mm  | US 7 circular needle, 40 and 80 or 100 cm | 16 and 32 or 40 inches

Gauge per  10 cm  | 4”
Garter stitch: 15 sts / 32 rows

Yarn Choice
Use an aran or worsted weight yarn (approx. 100 m / 109 yd per 50 g), optionally held together with a strand of fine mohair. The fuzzy yarn adds fullness to the garter texture and gives a more refined result.

Rauma Fivel or Hillesvåg Luna/Vidde
Approx. yarn weight per sock:

Silk Mohair (200 m / 219 yd per 25 g)
Approx. yarn weight per sock:  6 (7) 10 (12) g

Yarn Calculation for scrap yarn

Yarn Calculation
The calculation applies if you knit with the specified gauge (15/32). One sock weighs approximately 20 (28) 38 (50) g. Double for two.

Estimated yardage: 40 (56) 76 (100) m | 44 (61) 83 (109) yds, per  sock per yarn.

Convert to another yarn like this:

1. Find the yardage per gram for your substitute yarn (Use the weight and yardage given for the yarn)

g on the ball (i.e. 50 g) divided by
yds on the ball (i.e. 170 yds)
= Yds per g

2. Calculate how many grams you need:
Choose your size: 40 (56) 76 (100) m | 44 (61) 83 (109) yds
divided by
yds per g (answer given above)
= Grams needed for your size
