The Katharine Knitwear Collection is inspired by the iconic style of Katharine Hepburn. She was a pioneer for pants for women, and miles away from most other style icons at the time. This white shirts is perhaps the most characteristic for her style.
Construction
First, knit the collar in double knitting, then cast on for the button placket using a Turkish cast-on. Next, join the collar so that it becomes single-layer knitting, and continue working back and forth with double-knitted plackets. Cast on stitches over the shoulders using the Turkish cast-on method, and work short rows to shape the shoulders and neckline. Then, increase in a raglan pattern first for the sleeves and then for the body. The work is divided into the body and sleeves. The body is shaped at the bottom into a curved form.
